Katie Robinson

Katie began her career as a community and life skills coach for children with developmental special needs. She fell in love with the children and families she worked with and committed herself wholeheartedly to helping them find a place of value and acceptance within their communities.

More recently, Katie served as the Program Coordinator and Interim Director for Rick’s Place, a center for grieving children and families. Similar to Tighed Together, their mission is to create a safe space for families to grieve. Katie was particularly drawn to the intimacy that takes place between people when they meet at their most vulnerable point. She is a skilled group facilitator with experience working with children of all ages and adults.

Katie is also a proud homemaker. She has been married to her husband, Pete, for 17 years. They have two children, daughter Morgan and son Cam, who bring them endless pride and a few gray hairs ;). Their rescue dog, Red, and the occasional litter of foster kittens round out their happy family circus.

In her free time, Katie likes to cook healthy dinners and gluttonous desserts, read, volunteer, search for seaglass, and run (to work off the desserts).
